New venture will provide healthy food to residents in Progress Village
Seniors and those experiencing food insecurity in the Progress Village community will have access to free fruits and vegetables this year through a new Mobile Farmers Market, made possible by a partnership between Hillsborough County, Feeding Tampa Bay, and Grow My Giving. The new program is designed to help bring access to healthy, fresh food to residents of Progress Village.
Hillsborough County and its partners are dedicated to helping the community by providing the most basic and healthy food choices to households that experience food insecurity.
During each event, 100 households can select at least 10 pounds of fresh fruits and/or vegetables.
Events
The events are twice a month through September and are from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the following location and dates:
