The Tampa Bay Master Chorale Presents: Annelies on Saturday, March 2, at 8 p.m.
In collaboration with The Florida Holocaust Museum, The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay performs James Whitbourn's Annelies, a poignant journey through Anne Frank's diary. The performance will feature the 130-voice chorus, instrumentalists, and guest speakers. New Tampa Unplugged: A Mardi Gras Extravaganza with Cypress Creek Jazz Band on Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m.
Cypress Creek Jazz Band, a seven-piece New Orleans style jazz ensemble, is bringing Mardi Gras and the spirit of NOLA to NTPAC! Get ready to let the good times roll at this musical Mardi Gras version of NTPAC's popular New Tampa Unplugged series. SAGES Theater Presents Phoney Baloney on Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m.
Phoney Baloney is an original, thought-provoking one-act play designed to educate seniors and their loved ones on the dangers of phone scammers. The Senior Actors Guild & Education Services (SAGES) production weaves together true stories of con artists attempting to exploit seniors, bringing humor, chaos, and a touch of rebellion to the stage. The story unfolds as a diverse group of friends gathers at the local community center, sharing tales of the absurdity that ensues from simply answering the phone. Broadway Film Series: In The Heights on Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m.
With music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, In The Heights follows Usnavi, a bodega owner who longs to go back to his native Dominican Republic. In the meantime, he spends his time in the vibrant New York City neighborhood of Washington Heights where he and his friends dream, hope, and work for a bright future.
During the song Carnaval Del Barrio, NTPAC invites the audience to bring their own flags and "alza la bandera" or raise the flag with Usnavi and his friends! Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at NewTampaArtsCenter.org/Tickets.
Opera Tampa In Concert on Friday, March 22, at 8 p.m.
The Opera Tampa singers will travel north to New Tampa to present an hour-long program of operatic favorites. Vocalists from Opera Tampa's upcoming season will perform selections from the works that make up the company's 2024 season. It's a wonderful preview of Opera Tampa's upcoming season and will thrill both aficionado and novice opera lovers. Tickets available through Opera Tampa.
TIMINI: A West African Cinderella Tale on Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m.
Kuumba Dancers and Drummers will bring TIMINI to the stage! Taking place in the village of Fadiout, Senegal, TIMINI is the classic tale of Cinderella reimagined and brought to life through African music, dance, storytelling, and audience participation. Fall in love with this timeless tale all over again as Kuumba Dancers and Drummers take you on a culturally enriching journey.
