Trail CATS Workday - Garden Maintenance at Pebble Park
The native pollinator garden at Pebble Park needs our help! Volunteers are needed to pull invasive and aggressive species. This will be a unique opportunity to learn about invasive plants and understand how some natives can be counterproductive to restoration goals.
Activities
- Removing dead plant material
- Identifying and removing various invasive plants
- Learning about native Florida plants and native garden care
We recommend you bring your own gardening gloves and small pruners if you have them. We will provide loppers.
This is a great opportunity for those interested in native plant gardening to gain hands-on experience! This garden will need ongoing maintenance, so we'll be looking for volunteers to "adopt" it after the workday.
