Tampa General Hospital - Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN)
A public hearing will be held January 8, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the Children's Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Ave., Tampa, FL 33605, to consider an application from Florida Health Sciences Center, Inc. (d.b.a. Tampa General Hospital) to modify its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) to provide Advanced Life Support Ground Inter-Facility Transfer services in Hillsborough County with three (3) ambulance permits for the primary purpose of transferring patients being admitted to, discharged from, or transferred between facilities operated under Florida Health Sciences Center.
Any current COPCN holder and any person or entity who can demonstrate a financial or public safety interest in the application may intervene in the public hearing process by filing a Notice of Appearance and Intervention (form EMPC 104.NAI) no later than 5:00 p.m. December 28, 2023.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Public Hearing Officer with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, the person will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony or evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
