Little Manatee River Corridor Nature Preserve - Leonard Lee Trailhead, Meet at the trailhead kiosk
In-Person
The February 13, 2026 Sunrise Hike at Little Manatee River is cancelled.

The Little Manatee River Nature Preserve is part of a larger restoration project and wildlife corridor encompassing the Little Manatee River. Here you'll hike among the longleaf pine and palmettos and into the oaks as you ramble near and away from the river on the Hiking Spree's "Tributary Trail" (Blue). This hike is just under 3 miles and loops through several different habitats. You'll have a great chance to see wildlife, as well as learn about the history, restoration work, and the flora and fauna of the preserve from one of the technicians who works there.
