Hearing to consider an application from St. Joseph's Children's Hospital to modify its COPCN

A public hearing will be held March 18, 2024, beginning at 1 PM, at the Veterans Resource Center, 3610 US-301, Tampa, FL 33619, to consider an application from St. Joseph's Hospital, Inc. (d.b.a. St. Joseph's Children's Hospital) to modify its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) to provide Advanced Life Support Ground Inter-Facility Transfer services in Hillsborough County with three (3) ambulance permits "For the primary purpose of transferring neonatal/pediatric patients being admitted to, discharged from, or transferred between facilities operated under BayCare Health System."

Any current COPCN holder and any person or entity who can demonstrate a financial or public safety interest in the application may intervene in the public hearing process by filing a Notice of Appearance and Intervention (form EMPC 104.NAI) no later than 5 PM March 8, 2024.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Public Hearing Officer with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, the person will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony or evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
