Hearing to consider an application from Med-Trans Corporation (d.b.a. Med-Trans Florida, AirStar 1) to modify its COPCN
A public hearing will be held April 22, 2024, beginning at 11 AM, at the Children's Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Ave., Tampa, FL 33605, to consider an application from Med-Trans Corporation (d.b.a. Med-Trans Florida, AirStar 1) to modify its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) to provide advanced life support air inter-facility transfer services in Hillsborough County with two (2) helicopter permits "to include on-scene responses when requested by the 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch Center."
Any current COPCN holder and any person or entity who can demonstrate a financial or public safety interest in the application may intervene in the public hearing process by filing a Notice of Appearance and Intervention (form EMPC 104.NAI) no later than 5 PM, April 12, 2024.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Public Hearing Officer with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, the person will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony or evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
