As part of the Progress Village Regional Drainage Improvements project, a road closure of the intersection at Ash Avenue and S. 83rd Street for up to 60 days is necessary

The regional drainage improvement project is necessary to reduce roadway flooding and improve overall water quality.
The closure is expected to begin on Oct. 22, and the road is expected to reopen by Dec. 21, 2025. As with any construction project, inclement weather may impact and delay the work. Drivers will be advised to use S. 85th Street, Fir Drive, and S. 82nd Street as alternate routes around the closure, and the detour route will be marked with road signage. A request for approval of the 60-day road closure will be heard by the Board of County Commissioners at its Oct. 15, 2025, meeting.
The public is invited to offer comments on this project from Sep. 15 -26, 2025 and can sign up to receive updates for the duration of the project.
