Join volunteers from the Suncoast chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society on a walk of Alderman's Ford Conservation Park's two-mile "Picnic Loop and Boardwalk."

You'll be looking up, down, and all around at some of Florida's beautiful and unique native plant species. Learn about their growth, history, and how you can help plants and pollinators.

Things to know

  • This is a $5 participation fee - you must pre-register
  • There is a $2 park entrance fee
  • Participants should meet near the Shelter 1, closest to the trailhead
  • Weather related cancellations are possible - rain checks will be provided
  • Participants under 18 should be accompanied by an adult
  • The trail is around 2.3 miles
  • Participants must be at least 10 years old
  • Maximum of 15 participants
  • Registration is required
