Arrive by 6:30 PM so we can be on the river by 7 PM.

Join the Camp Bayou volunteers for a special Night Paddle. We will explore the Little Manatee River after dark in search of bats, owls and fireflies.

The tour is $25 if you need to use one of our 3-seat canoes or single kayaks; $5 if you bring your own boat.

Things to know

  • Registration is required - Email Dolly at Camp Bayou to register
  • Cost: $5 with own canoe/kayak; $25 with canoe or kayak rental
  • Max participants: 30
  • Paddle trip length: 2 miles
  • Weather related cancellation is possible
  • No alcohol allowed
  • Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult

Camp Bayou information

Camp Bayou Outdoor Learning Center is neither a campground nor a summer camp. It was an RV park before the County's ELAP program purchased the land but it is now open for day use only, open to the general public.

The Camp Bayou Outdoor Learning Center is a public- private partnership between Bayou Outdoor Learning and Discovery, Inc. (B.O.L.D.), and Hillsborough County Conservation & Environmental Lands Management.

Camp Bayou is located 3 miles south of SR674 at the end of 24th St SE in Ruskin.
