Public Hearings to consider applications from AmeriPro EMS to obtain ambulance COPCNs

On May 4, 2026, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., at the Hillsborough County Public Safety Operations Complex (PSOC), 9450 E. Columbus Drive, Tampa, FL 33619, a public hearing will be held to consider an application from AmeriPro EMS of Florida, LLC, (AmeriPro) for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) to operate Basic Life Support ambulances in Hillsborough County.

Following the above, on May 4th, 2026, scheduled for 1:00 p.m., at the PSOC, a public hearing will be held to consider an application from AmeriPro for a COPCN to operate Advanced Life Support ambulances in Hillsborough County.

Any current COPCN holder and any person or entity who can demonstrate a financial or public safety interest may intervene in the public hearing process by filing a Notice of Appearance and Intervention (NAI) (form EMPC 104.NAI) with the EMPC no later than 5:00 p.m. April 24, 2026. The applicant and any interveners shall pay all costs of the hearing in equal shares.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Public Hearing Officer with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, the person will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony or evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), persons needing special accommodations to participate in these proceedings should contact Michael Tayler with a general description of their needs.

Public comment

Anyone wishing to speak at either hearing (providing only comment to the Hearing Officer and not intervening in the proceedings) may do so by signing in prior to the start of the respective hearing. Please arrive prior to the start time and contact Michael Tayler.
