Lace up your hiking boots and mark your calendar because the tenth annual Hiking Spree begins Saturday, November 1st, and we're celebrating in a big way! Venture out to Lettuce Lake Conservation Park for our Kickoff celebration, a fun-filled day where nature lovers of all ages can hit the trails, connect with other hikers, and get inspired for the season ahead.

Be among the first to preview the brand-new rewards and trail list for this year's Hiking Spree. Whether you're a seasoned trekker or just getting started, it's the perfect opportunity to start your Hiking Spree journey on the right foot with a scenic hike on day one!

Things to know

  • There is a $2 park entrance fee (for up to 8 people) - cash only
  • Parking is limited - carpool with friends
  • Participants should meet at the open field near the playground
  • Weather-related cancellation is possible
  • Participants under 18 should be accompanied by an adult
  • The trail is around 1.25 miles
  • No alcohol will be permitted on park property

What is the Hiking Spree?

The Hiking Spree is a program hosted in collaboration between Hillsborough County's Conservation and Environmental Lands Management and Parks and Recreation departments. Hikers will have five months to complete eight hiking trails on this year's "Hiking Spree Trial List" in order to earn exclusive rewards.
