Advertising Annual Real Property and Personal Property Delinquent Tax Lists
Purpose
To provide guidelines for the procurement of advertising the annual delinquent property tax listing pursuant to Section 197.402 and Chapter 50, Florida Statute.
Policy
It is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners to procure publication of the annual delinquent property tax listing by soliciting written bids from newspapers published in Hillsborough County meeting all requirements of Chapter 50, Florida Statute. Further, it is the Board’s policy to accept bids from a single newspaper or a joint venture of two or more newspapers meeting the requirements of Chapter 50, Florida Statute, that will provide a minimum circulation of 10,000 copies fr each publication of the Delinquent Property Tax List. Newspaper will be required to certify and document evidence of sufficient circulation.
Publishers also will provide additional copies of the delinquent property tax list to various public facilities. (Note: This is a pilot project to be reviewed by the BOCC later this year.)
Responsibility
It will be the responsibility of the Purchasing & Contracts Department Administrator to administer this policy.
