Proposed Appointments by County Administrator
Purpose
To establish guidelines which prohibit members of the Board of County Commissioners from discussing proposed appointments by the County Administrator with the County Administrator.
Policy
The Board of County Commissioners approves and adopts the policy that there will be no discussion between Board members and the County Administrator on proposed appointments of division/office directors and the County Attorney.
Responsibilities
In keeping with the Hillsborough Charter which calls for the separation of the branches of County governments, it is the responsibility of the members of the Board of County Commissioners not to discuss any proposed appointment of division/office directors and the County Attorney with the County Administrator prior to the appointment by the County Administrator.
