Draft of Ordinances
Purpose
To establish Board of County Commissioners guidance for determining the need for an Ordinance and to provide authorization to proceed with the draft copy.
Policy
Except for proposed ordinances granting ad valorem tax exemptions pursuant to the Hillsborough County Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption Ordinance (Ordinance No. 11-1, as amended), the Board of County Commissioners, by a majority of those voting, shall approve the need for an Ordinance and authorize that it be drafted for Board consideration.
Responsibilities
The County Attorney is responsible to initiate the draft of an Ordinance for Board consideration in accordance with approved Board Policy.
