Policy on Deferral of Sewer Charges for Newly Constructed Homes
Purpose
This policy rescinds the deferral of sewer billings for new housing construction.
Policy
It is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners that water and sewer billings for new housing construction will begin upon completion of the water meter installation. Billings for sewer only accounts will begin upon verification of the meter installation by other parties or based upon date of connection to the sewer system or other accepted method of service verification as determined by the Department of Water and Wastewater Utilities.
Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Water and Wastewater Utilities Department to implement procedure for billing of water and sewer services for new housing construction in accordance with the approved policy.
