Family and Medical Leave
Purpose and Policy
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners (“BOCC”) abides by the Family and Medical Leave Act and will provide Commissioners' Aides with any rights under that Act to which they are entitled. To that end, the BOCC adopts the policy of the County Administrator regarding Family and Medical Leave (HR Policy 2.05) with the exception of the final sentence of that policy, which is replaced with the following language: In the event a Commissioner's Aide is unable to return to work following Family and Medical Leave, the Commissioner for whom he or she works will consult with the Human Resources Director and the County Attorney to determine the appropriate course of action.
