Industrial Development Authority Revenue Bond Applicants - Compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmation Action Programs

Purpose

The Board of County Commissioners has established that applicants requesting Board approval to use Industrial Development Authority revenue bonds shall be in compliance with Federal and State laws prohibiting discrimination in participation, service delivery, and employment because of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, or handicap.

Policy

It is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners to require that applicants requesting approval to use Industrial development Authority revenue bonds shall present to the Board an assurance of compliance that there will be no discrimination in employment on the basis race, color, national origin, religion, or sex. The applicant shall assure the Board that it will take affirmative action to ameliorate conditions which tend to segregate or discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or handicap.

Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the Industrial Development Authority to assure that all applicants seeking Board approval to use Industrial Development Authority revenue bonds shall provide a statement and documents in the application on their compliance with the with the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action programs subject to review by the Board of County Commissioners.
