Selection and Contracting for Professional Services
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to provide the basis for professional services consultant selection procedures to be used by Hillsborough County for services covered under the Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act (F.S. 287.055).
Policy
It is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners that professional services consultant selection procedures conform to the latest version of the “Consultants’ Negotiation Act” (F.S. 287.055) and current Hillsborough County Minority Business Enterprise and Equal Opportunity policies.
Responsibilities
The County Administrator shall develop a professional services consultant selection procedure to be used by Hillsborough County when contracting for professional services covered under the “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiations Act.” The County Administrator shall review and modify this procedure as required to accommodate changes in the “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act” and Hillsborough County policies. The County Administrator may designate administration of this procedure.
