Private Fire Protection Systems Readiness to Serve Charge
Purpose
To establish charges for water service provided for private sprinkler systems.
Policy
The Board of County Commissioners approves and adopts the following charges for water service provided for private sprinkler systems:
4" line | $30/year |
6" line | $90/year |
8" line | $200/year |
12" line | $500/year |
The water service provided is for private sprinkler systems in office buildings, hospitals, apartment complexes and similar type facilities.
Responsibilities
The Department of Water and Wastewater Utilities will bill annually, prior to October, charges as approved by the Board of County Commissioners for water service provided. The charges shall be reviewed and updated appropriately with Board of County Commissioners’ approval.
NOTE: No water is to be used from the fire service line for any purpose other than for fire protection. If, upon inspection, it is found that the user is in violation, service shall be discontinued upon thirty (30) days Notice.
