Advertisement for BOCC Events and Meetings
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that citizens receive timely notification related to events and meetings of the Board of County Commissioners throughout the community.
Policy
It is the direction of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) that meetings and events of the BOCC be advertised in the electronic and/or print media that best fits the target audience of the scheduled event. All previous directions of the BOCC regarding placement of advertising for BOCC events are hereby repealed.
Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the County Administrator to ensure compliance with this policy. The Administrator may delegate this responsibility to the Director of Communications. The County Administration shall report to the BOCC periodically on the effectiveness of communication to the public for BOCC events, including a summary of how events have been advertised to targeted markets.
