Board of County Commissioners Abuse Policy
Purpose
To provide a healthy, safe and secure work environment for all employees so as to enhance both the delivery of County services and the image of County employees.
Policy
The strict prohibition of:
- The use, sale, distribution, or manufacture of a controlled substance, alcohol or illegal drug while within the scope of one’s employment with the County.
- Reporting for work or performing work while under the influence of alcohol, a controlled substance, or an illegal drug.
Responsibilities
The Board of County Commissioners shall take appropriate administrative and/or disciplinary actions in accordance with Civil Service Rules to implement and consistently enforce this policy.
