Board Approval of Projects Submitted to the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)
Purpose
To require Board approval of any projects submitted to the Hillsborough MPO’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Priority-Setting Process in order to promote public awareness of transportation projects.
Policy
The County Administrator shall submit to the Board of County Commissioners for approval any projects that County staff proposes to submit to the MPO during MPO’s annual Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Priority-Setting Process.
Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the County Administrator to obtain Board approval of any projects prior to submittal to the MPO.
