Prohibition Against Supermajority Vote Requirements
Purpose
To prohibit requiring supermajority votes in Board of County Commissioners’ Policies.
Policy
It is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners that there be no supermajority vote requirements in Board of County Commissioners resolutions or policies unless required by Board of County Commissioners Ordinance, the Hillsborough County Charter or special or general law.
Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Board of County Commissioners to refrain from requiring a supermajority vote in Board of County Commissioners policies and resolutions unless required by Board of County Commissioners Ordinance, the Hillsborough County Charter or special or general law.
