Use of County Center Conference Center

It is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners that the Conference Center on the 26th floor of County Center be open and available for meetings and conferences of all county government offices, departments and agencies. The conference rooms also may be a available for government-related business conducted by outside agencies as well as city, state and federal agencies and departments.

When not required for government business, the Conference Center will be available for other groups so long as the space is reasonably designed for and can accommodate the desired public use without safety risk, the risk of abuse or harm to county property,

Space will be reserved as first-come, first-served, with the following exception: The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to use the Conference Center at any time, either in part or in total, for emergency meetings or for overflow seating for any meeting being held in the Boardroom.

The County Administrator will be responsible for the space, and coordination will be through the Citizens Assistance and Information Department Communications Department Events Coordinator, which will maintain the scheduling of the meeting rooms, develop procedures for use of the space, and, at times, determine a reasonable fee to offset the cost of maintenance, security and other incurred expenses.
