Scheduling Public Hearings
Purpose
It is the purpose of this policy to set more convenient time for the public to be able to attend public hearings, allowing residents to complete their work day and have travel time to the County Center.
Policy
It is the policy of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners that all public hearings normally scheduled for the evening will be set for 6 PM.
Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Aide to the Chairman, who maintains the BOCC calendar, to carry out this policy. Further, it is the responsibility of the County Administrator and County Attorney to maintain this policy when setting all evening public hearings for the BOCC.
