Scheduling of Board of County Commissioners Regular Meetings
Purpose
The Board of County Commissioners adopts an annual schedule of regular meetings, workshops, public hearings Zoning Review, Budget workshops and public hearings, evening public hearings, EPC meetings, and Town Hall meetings. This policy will provide guidelines for implementation.
Policy
Regular meetings of the Board shall be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. However, when, in the judgement of the Board of County Commissioners, a holiday, county association meeting, election or other event represents a conflict with scheduling a regular meeting for the first or third Wednesday, the Board shall schedule the regular meeting on a different date upon giving of due notice. Meetings will generally convene at 9:00 a.m.
Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the County Administrator to publish an annual schedule of meetings of the Board of County Commissioners, establish agenda review meetings and establish deadline dates for the submission of items to be placed on the agenda.
