Hillsborough County, Fla. (Aug. 24, 2026) - Hillsborough County's Community Connections Resource Expo on Thursday, Aug. 27, will include informational sessions on how residents with homes damaged by the 2024 hurricanes can apply for assistance and on what parents need to know to enroll their children in Head Start or Early Head Start.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Seffner-Mango Branch Library, 410 N. Kingsway Rd., Seffner, FL 33584.
The quarterly Community Connections Resource Expo is designed to bring information on essential resources directly to the community. Thursday's event includes these breakout sessions:
- Hillsborough County's Rebuilding for Tomorrow program: The program provides funding for some residents whose homes were damaged by Hurricanes Helene or Milton. The sessions will include an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, and step-by-step details on how to apply. Sessions will be offered from 10:30-11 a.m. and 12:30-1 p.m.
- Head Start and Early Head Start Enrollment: Learn about enrollment requirements and what health forms your child needs. Sessions will be offered from 11:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30-2 p.m.
In addition to the breakout sessions, representatives from numerous County departments will be together in one location to offer residents a convenient opportunity to connect with a variety of services.
