Hillsborough County, Fla. (July 29, 2026) - Visitors to Kenly Park will soon have a cool new opportunity to beat the heat.
Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, to celebrate the opening of a new, 1,600-square-foot splash pad that will offer children and families a fun and refreshing break from Florida's muggy days.
The splash pad has multiple spray features, including a giant bucket that fills with water before overturning and splashing the children below. Additional amenities include rubber safety surfacing, synthetic turf, and shaded seating. The project also includes stormwater improvements and a new sidewalk.

Kenly Park, 3101 N. 66th St., Tampa, FL 33619, includes a recreation center, basketball court, playground, picnic shelters, and meeting rooms.
