Hillsborough County, Fla. (April 20, 2026) - Hillsborough County and Rebuilding Together Greater Florida on Tuesday, April 21, will celebrate the completion of a new home for a resident whose previous home was destroyed by a fire.

The single-family home was built on the same foundation as the home that had burned down. To support the owner's transition, Feeding Tampa Bay has stocked the pantry with food, ensuring she is fully prepared for the move-in.

The house is one of 20 homes that Rebuilding Together Greater Florida will rehabilitate or demolish and rebuild as part of its reconstruction program. Hillsborough County has contributed $3.7 million in State Housing Initiative Partnership funds to the program.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, at 14657 Franklin Ave., Dover, FL 33527.
