Closure will last almost two weeks
Hillsborough County, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2026) - A portion of Morris Bridge Road will close for almost two weeks beginning Monday, March 2, for replacement of a stormwater drainpipe under the road.
Only a small segment of Morris Bridge Road will be closed just north of Pictorial Park Drive. All homes and businesses will be accessible by Morris Bridge Road either from the north or south. The detours for commuters can be extensive.
To avoid congestion and delays during this time, drivers can use State Road 56, Cross Creek Boulevard, and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard to get around the work area. Navigation apps have been updated on the detour and will route drivers around the closure.
