Hillsborough County, Fla. (Dec. 12, 2025) - Hillsborough County and Florida Home Partnership, Inc. will hold a community block party on Saturday, Dec. 13, to celebrate the completion of Bayou Pass Village, an affordable home community in Ruskin.
The final phase, Sunset at Bayou Pass Village, includes 11 homes featuring three, four, or five bedrooms. The homes are for residents making 80% or less of the Area Median Income, and buyers commit a minimum of 600 hours of sweat equity. Hillsborough County contributed $700,000 to the project and has contributed more than $6 million over a number of years to the six phases of Bayou Pass Village.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Pfeiffer Pavilion Clubhouse, 1406 Blossom Bayou Circ., Ruskin, FL 33570. Speakers include Hillsborough County and Florida Home Partnership leaders, and guests can access housing counseling resources, information on upcoming programs, and opportunities to apply for home repair assistance through partner initiatives. The event will include food trucks, live entertainment, and face painting.
Founded in 1993, Florida Home Partnership is the largest nonprofit organization that is building affordable housing in Hillsborough County.
