Center drew more than 3,000 attendees to free performing arts festival

The New Tampa Performing Arts Center's (NTPAC) Annual Arts Festival, held Sept. 12-14, welcomed more than 3,000 attendees to celebrate the performing arts and kick off the center's 2025-26 season. The record-breaking turnout surpassed last year's festival attendance by nearly 1,000 people, showcasing a strong demand for the arts and furthering NTPAC as a cultural pillar of New Tampa.

Throughout the weekend, visitors of all ages experienced engaging live performances from a variety of notable arts organizations. Standout moments included a full house for Tampa City Ballet's Cinderella, children playing music at the "instrument petting zoo," Cultural Arts Theater leading a dance circle with the audience, and the festival's grand finale with a stunning collaborative performance by St. Pete Opera and Tampa City Ballet.

Upcoming Events

The festival was just the beginning of an exciting season lineup. Upcoming events in October include Oklahoma! (Oct. 17-26). New Tampa Players will bring to life a timeless tale of love, rivalry, and community spirit that captures the heart and soul of the American frontier.

Classical music fans can enjoy a fresh perspective on the piano duo with the Nikolov-West Duo on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. Plus, NTPAC will host a free sing-along screening of Wicked: Part 1 on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. just in time for the highly anticipated release of Wicked: For Good.
