Hillsborough County, Fla. (Oct. 1, 2025) - Hillsborough County is hosting a community workshop to help guide the County's path to a Post-Disaster Redevelopment Plan.

The goal is to share ideas, strategies, and goals as Hillsborough County works toward a more disaster-resilient community.

The panel discussion is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Miller Park & Life Center, 6105 E. Sligh Ave., Tampa, FL 33617.

Hillsborough County's goal is to create effective plans to rebuild infrastructure, businesses, and neighborhoods after a disaster. The Post-Disaster Redevelopment Plan would also include ways to reduce future risks and support long-term economic growth.

  • Expedite recovery and return to normal after a disaster

  • Support housing and business recovery

  • Strengthen infrastructure resilience and sustainability

  • Ensure a coordinated, well-funded redevelopment strategy

  • Protect historic, cultural, and environmental resources
