Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 26, 2025) - Hot Florida days will get a little more bearable for visitors to Kings Forest Park with the Monday, Sept. 29, opening of a new, 1,250-square-foot splash pad.
The splash pad is the centerpiece of recently completed improvements at the 5-acre park at 8008 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, FL 33610. In addition to the various water-spray features, the splash pad includes a slip-resistant rubber floor finish, two shade structures within the splash pad area, and a new metal-roof shelter.
The project also includes synthetic turf and a fence surrounding the splash pad, new sidewalks and landscaping, and renovated restrooms.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the improvements is scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29.
