Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2025) - Hillsborough County is asking residents for input on plans to acquire a quarter-acre property next to Country Place Park East on Ehrlich Road.

The 0.23-acre parcel, at 4619 Ehrlich Road, Tampa, FL 33624, would be purchased from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The property is next to Country Place Park East and Brushy Creek.

The goal is to preserve open green space and maintain additional park space in the community. Currently, there are no plans or funding to develop this parcel or the existing park, which primarily consists of several handball courts and a parking lot.

Virtual Public Engagement Opportunity

The County will conduct a virtual engagement using the Hillsborough Education & Engagement Hub to collect feedback from the public on plans for the park. Comment for this purchase is open from Monday, Sept. 8, to Monday, Sept. 22. Visit HCFL.gov/HCEngage to participate.
