The four programs in June are held in recognition of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month
Hillsborough County, Fla. (June 5, 2024) - Hillsborough County Adult Day Services has partnered with the Alzheimer's Association to provide information and resources on Alzheimer's and dementia.
In recognition of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month, the Alzheimer's Association Brain Bus will visit all four Hillsborough County Adult Day Services locations in June. The public is encouraged to attend for information and resources on Alzheimer's and dementia and tips to create good brain habits.
Staff will share information about the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer's, 10 healthy habits for your brain, steps to take for an accurate diagnosis, and information on the advancement in research. Staff will also be available to answer general questions about Alzheimer's and dementia, and information on research, medications, warning signs, and progression of the disease will be available.

The Brain Bus helps to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and dementia. It also addresses the benefits of early detection, early diagnosis, brain health, and risk reduction.
