Hillsborough County Water Resources has reported a sewer line break on West Waters Avenue just west of Hanley Road in Tampa.
Utility crews are assessing the size of the spill, which was reported this afternoon. The pipe break is not expected to affect sewer service to nearby homes and businesses. The sewage line break does NOT impact tap water, which is safe to use and consume.
A westbound lane on West Waters Avenue just west of Hanley Road will be closed while crews work on repairs. Commuters should expect traffic delays while traveling on westbound Waters Avenue just west of Hanley Road.
