The recent hurricanes caused significant damage and forced us to close many parks locations, including:
- Conservation, neighborhood, and specialty parks
- Nature preserves
- Sports complexes and rec centers
- Boat ramps
While most park locations have opened, due to damage and continued safety concerns, some remain closed.
Before visiting any park location, please use the "Find Park Status" button below to see if the location is on the closed/partially closed list.
Announcements
The portion of the red trail connecting Stephen J. Wortham Park to Rhodine Scrub Nature Preserve is currently closed due to a washout. Those wishing to access Rhodine Preserve during this time can use a walk-through gate onto the yellow trail, located at 12560 Rhodine Rd. You will have to park on the side of the road to use this access point.
Much of the park's undeveloped terrain is typical of Florida's hardwood hammocks. There are sand, slash, and longleaf pines; live, water, and scrub oaks; lots of saw palmetto and other understory plants; and animals such as gopher tortoises, box turtles, and foxes.
