Hillsborough County's new 20,000-square-foot New Tampa Performing Arts Center is a facility where the arts can be enjoyed, celebrated, and taught thus enriching the lives of our diverse community. The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners approved the funding for construction of the $7.3 million center in May 2021.

State of the art

The facility includes a 354-seat multipurpose theatre with a large stage, elaborate sound and lighting complete with orchestra pit. A state-of-the art projection system and large screen will allow for showings of live streamed special events, children's films and independent film not available elsewhere in the area.

Additional amenities include four multipurpose studios with high ceilings and suspended dance floors suitable for ballet and modern dance. Other amenities include a catering and service kitchen, a concession area, a box office, and a spacious main lobby as well as parking for 215 vehicles.
