The Yellow Trail is currently closed to allow the Land Management Team to safely remove a yellow jacket nest. The trail will re-open as soon as possible. (Updated 4/28/26)
Alderman’s Ford Preserve is 985 acres that serves as a portion of the South Hillsborough Wildlife Corridor, and provides a connection between other publicly owned lands along the Alafia River.
Natural habitats within the site include:
- Bottomland forest
- Seepage slopes
- Creeks
- Xeric hammock
- Remnant sandhill
- Pine flatwoods
Listed animal species, including Sherman’s fox squirrel, sandhill crane, and gopher tortoise are also known to be residents on the site.
