Overview

  • The project improves 0.75 miles of Big Bend Road by widening it from 4 to 6 lanes with new sidewalks, drainage, curb and gutter, and a median. It adds a traffic signal at Old Big Bend Road/Kings Lake Drive and converts Covington Garden Drive to a 3‑leg intersection. Kings Lake Drive will be resurfaced, a southbound left‑turn lane added, and an 8–12 ft trail built along Waterset Boulevard to the Scenic Drive Trailhead.

Objectives

  • The project aims to improve capacity, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance safety and provide operational improvements along the corridor.
