Overview
- This project will provide connectivity for the Upper Tampa Bay Trail "Gap" (Phase IV, Sections A & B) from Peterson Park to Van Dyke Road. These are the final segments needed to complete the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, which will provide trail users an uninterrupted path that begins south of Memorial Highway and continues north along the Suncoast Parkway. The recommended trail alignment will extend along Gunn Highway and Peterson Road.
Objectives
- The project will support the travel and recreational needs of cyclists and pedestrians by creating a safer and more connected trail system. By completing the missing segment of the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, the project will enhance mobility, encourage outdoor activity, and strengthen overall connectivity within Hillsborough County’s growing network of trails.
