Overview

  • The corridor improvement project for Big Bend Road will widen the roadway from a 4 lane divided road to a 6 lane divided road between US 41 and Covington Gardens Drive, and from Simmons Loop to US 301. The project will also add enhanced bicycle, pedestrian, and bus facilities along the corridor. Improvements include wider sidewalks, upgraded crosswalks and signals, and improvements to stormwater drainage.
